Sarah Simpson, LCSW - Owner and Therapist

Hi, my name is Sarah Simpson. I am so glad you are here! I  am a Christian, dog-mom, wife, and Therapist who loves to help people work through challenges in life. I bring my own life experiences, and education, when working with my clients. It is my biggest desire that my client's feel seen, heard, and understood exactly where they are in life. 

As a resident of Show Low, Arizona, I offer sessions in person in Show Low in addition to serving clients virtually throughout the state of Arizona. 

My career journey started  in 2007, prior to attending any schooling, by way of volunteering at the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence for a few years where I worked as a Lay Legal Advocate.

In 2009, I enrolled in college. As a student I worked under the guidance of the then President of the National Association of Social Workers for nearly a decade, as I worked my way though schooling at Mesa Community College and Arizona State University.  This gave me a great opportunity to learn ethics and values of my profession. I also completed a year and a half long internship which gave me the opportunity to work as a first responder, being dispatched by the 911 system, and arriving on scene with police and fire personnel as a social worker. 

I graduated with my Masters degree in 2017. 

In 2017,  I worked as a Trail Walker leading youth through the wilderness and teaching survival skills through the Anasazi Foundation.

In 2020, I obtained my LMSW from the state of Arizona and went to work as a Therapist and Clinical Director in a variety of settings. I saw children and adults as well as individuals and couples. 

In 2024, I earned my LCSW (highest license obtainable) from the state of Arizona. Meaning, I completed over 3,000 direct hours and had completed several years of being supervised. 

After completing my LCSW exam, I started my private practice and began my PhD program.

In addition to working in my own private practice, I also work in an agency with youth (ages 12-17) who have experienced commercial sex trafficking.
