About Services at Embodied Alignment Therapy

Individual & Partner-based Psychotherapy
Nervous-System–Informed, Trauma & Attachment-Oriented Care

Embodied Alignment Therapy primarily offers individual psychotherapy and partner-based therapy for adults seeking deeper emotional regulation, safety, and reconnection with themselves and with one another. This work is especially supportive for people who feel stuck despite insight, motivation, or prior therapy.

Rather than focusing on symptom management alone, therapy works with the nervous system to address patterns shaped by trauma, chronic stress, medical experiences, or long-standing relational dynamics.

Sessions are paced, collaborative, and attuned to your capacity in the moment. The focus is on building internal safety, restoring choice, and supporting lasting change without pressure or overwhelm.

This work is non-invasive and does not involve hands-on bodywork.

What Individual Therapy Can Support

Individual therapy may be helpful if you are experiencing:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm
  • Emotional numbness, shutdown, or disconnection
  • People-pleasing, fawning, or difficulty with boundaries
  • Trauma or unresolved stress responses
  • Medical or sexual trauma
  • Difficulty accessing desire, intimacy, or embodied connection
  • Relationship patterns rooted in safety rather than choice

Therapy is not about forcing emotional expression or revisiting experiences before your system is ready. Progress is measured by increased regulation, capacity, and self-trust.

Relational & Partner-Based Sessions

In addition to individual work, couples therapy and partner-based sessions are available for those seeking support with relational dynamics through a nervous-system–informed lens. These sessions may:

  • Support nervous-system regulation in relationship
  • Increase understanding of relational patterns impacting individual or shared healing
  • Practice communication or boundary skills in real time
  • Address intimacy or connection challenges through a safety-based lens

Relational sessions are considered on a case-by-case basis and are integrated when they support individual and relational therapeutic goals.

Areas of Special Focus

This practice is particularly well-suited for clients navigating:

  • Trauma and complex stress
  • Medical, procedural, or healthcare-related trauma
  • Attachment wounds and relational patterns
  • Sex Therapy
  • High achievers
  • Freeze and fawn responses
  •  Neurotypical adults and partners
  • Nervous-system–related intimacy and desire concerns
  • Transitions, identity shifts, or relational change

What to Expect

  • A calm, steady therapeutic pace
  • Nervous-system–informed interventions
  • Attention to both emotional and physiological experience
  • Emphasis on agency, consent, and choice
  • A collaborative process grounded in safety

Therapy here is not about fixing you—it is about helping your nervous system feel safe enough for change to emerge.
